Princess
Dr Ward is caring, compassionate and effective. In addition to treating us, we asked her to look at our 15 year old Lab who was beginning to have hip problems. Dr Ward treated her several times and she is now prancing like her younger self. Dr Ward made her feel comfortable while performing the necessary adjustments. Dr Ward brings a new meaning to being "a complete family Chiropractor". We feel fortunate to have her as a health provider and highly recommend her.

Kirby
I loved the work Dr. Ward did with my 5 year old cat! She had a great presence with him - so much kindness and connection- and she did a marvelous adjustment for him. He had been walking poorly due to a hip problem and with one treatment, the problem disappeared and he was a free bird (that is cat!) again. I highly recommend her. She took time to get to know my cat before she worked on him. He was able to receive her treatment (which was very thorough) without any difficulty.

Biscuit
Biscuit has always been quite the athlete, and goes with me everywhere - hiking, mountain-biking, and sledding. So when she tore her ACL, I opted for TPLO surgery and physical therapy, and she was back in the woods in no time.
However, she still favored one leg (a habit we've cured with physical therapy), and ran with her hips slung to one side. Eventually she developed pains that no doctor could diagnose. She couldn't even jump into the car for a ride to the woods. I considered how chiropractic worked for me, and was delighted to find Dr. Ward nearby. She was a godsend. Dr. Ward indicated that her hips were out of alignment and her QL was tight. After just a few appointments, she is good as gold! No pain, and no stopping her! I recommend Dr. Ward to all my friends with dogs.

Quazar
My 13 year-old German Shepard mix was diagnosed with hip dysplasia when she had problems climbing stairs at the young age of 3. Glucosamine, Chondroitin, Rimidyl, and exercise kept the pain and symptoms away for many years. The past couple of years, she lost alot of muscle in the hips and legs, so her legs have become very weak. Arthritis has also set in her hips, elbows, and other areas. It has been heartbreaking to watch her struggle to get up, sit down, and there have been days where she cannot get up on her own. She was still enthusiastic to go, but had slowed down on her daily walk. First I tried acupuncture treatments, which seemed to help some for pain, but certainly not the results I had hoped for. There were sporadic occasions when she could not use her hind legs at all, her appetite had declined significantly, and she was losing interest in her "treat balls" (where she has to make the treats come out of an opening). I heard some of her symptoms could be from a neurological condition, so I began to look into chiropractic care for animals. I was so lucky to find Dr. Ward! I know arthritis and hip dysplasia cannot be cured through chiropractic treatments, I just want her to have the best quality of life in her golden years.
After the first treatment by Dr. Ward, there was already an improvement in her walking and her attitude! After a couple of more treatments, she was moving, eating, and playing like she had 4 years ago! Quazar is feeling so much better, she's chasing the cats and even trotting on her walks sometimes. The change in her has been INCREDIBLE!!! Now I'm trying to find ways to keep her occupied during all the time she's up and moving around. After a treatment a couple of weeks ago, she demonstrated NO physical symptoms. After a walk, I was outside putting up Christmas decorations and I let her outside with me. She always stays nearby, but she felt so good that she took another trot on her own through the neighborhood! I was worried for awhile, but she ended up being fine, just worn out from such a workout!
I cannot say enough about Dr. Ward's expertise. She will even make more adjustments if she sees Quazar is still off-balance or "not right". Quazar is like a new dog! :)

Belle
We were having a usual Saturday outside with Belle chasing lizards in the garden while we worked in the yard. But Sunday morning it was obvious something was terribly wrong with Ms. Belle. She was in obvious pain and walking was slow and painful. She would yelp when touched between the shoulder blades and had spasms in her neck and chest. Belle is 11 years old and had back surgery when she was 4, so we were worried that it might be her spine.
After visiting some websites, I decided to give Dr. Darcy Ward a call. When I explained Belle's symptoms and how desperate we were to get her some pain relief, Dr. Ward made an appointment for that same afternoon. Belle was getting worse by the hour and was standing hunched over with her nose pressed to the floor in terrible pain. These pictures are not at her worst but her distress is obvious. After just the first visit, the difference was amazing! That evening Belle slept through the night without yelping for the first time and we were ALL able to get some sleep. She was FINALLY on the road to recovery!
After just three treatments, Belle is almost her old self again. Today she flapped her ears for the first time since her injury! She is back to hunting lizards and begging for treats, feeling so good that we have to watch her with an eagle eye. I think these last two pictures say it all...Thank you Dr. Ward!

Capstun
Hi Dr. Darcy, just wanted to send you a quick update on Capstun (the little black wiener dog you saw in Raleigh) He's 100% BETTER!! He's able to run up the stairs again, when I do the foot reflex test (where he wasn't able to pull his foot back up for you) he pulls it right back under him and stands on it. He's RUNNING around the house playing with our other dog right now, as we speak :) Just wanted to let you know that what you did worked wonders :) Thanks again!
